Spotlight - Shalon Robinson

This article inspires me because Shalon and I grew up together in an all-black community were the odds were truly stacked against us. Shalon said it best, the sky is the limit. I want the youth to live out their full potential. As a philanthropist, I vow to continue to do my part in the community to make a difference.

When I decided to become a RN, I thought my career options were limited to clinical settings only. Over the last 19 years I've had some pretty awesome non-traditional nursing roles outside the clinical setting. I hope my feature in the St. Louis American will inspire our youth to choose a career in healthcare. The sky is the limit! Shalon Robinson
